Aithníonn Gaelcholáiste Dhoire saintréithe, mianach agus dínit gach dalta. Tá éiteas lán-Ghaeilge agus Gaelach ag Gaelcholáiste Dhoire ina bhfuil luach leis an Ghaeilge mar chuid dár n-oidhreacht agus mar bhealach le forbairt oideachasúil agus phearsanta ár ndaltaí a shaibhriú agus a neartú.

Dála ár bhfile mór áitiúil, Séamus Heaney, amharcaimid ar an teanga mar rud atá riachtanach don fhéintuiscint, don chomhthuiscint, don samhlaíocht agus don iléagsúlacht chultúrtha.

Tá tiomantas ag Gobharnóirí agus foireann an Ghaelcholáiste i leith oideachas den scoth a sholáthar a riarann ar mhianaidhmeanna agus ar riachtanais na ndaltaí uilig in atmaisféar dearfach muinteartha a shaibhríonn iad ar bhonn daonna agus spioradálta araon. Is í an aidhm atá againn ná daoine fásta óga dea-oilte a fhorbairt atá muiníneach as a bhfiúntas féin, neamhspleách agus ildánach agus a bhfuil na scileanna agus luachanna acu le haghaidh a thabhairt ar dhúshláin na sochaí atá ag síorathrú.

Gaelcholáiste Dhoire recognises the uniqueness, inherent worth and dignity of each pupil. The Gaelcholáiste has an Irish-medium and Gaelic ethos which values the language as part of our heritage and as a means of enriching and enhancing the educational and personal development of our pupils.

Like our local Nobel Laureat, Séamus Heaney, we regard the Irish language as essential to self-understanding, mutual understanding, imaginative enhancement and cultural diversity.

The Governors and staff of Gaelcholáiste Dhoire are committed to delivering an excellent education which meets the aspirations and needs of all pupils in a positive and happy family atmosphere which is both rich in human and spiritual facilities. Our aim is to develop well-rounded young adults who are confident in their own worth, independent and versatile and who are equipped with the skills and values to meet the challenges of a changing society. _____________ ________
